Multi-vehicle car accident leads to temporary closing of I-64

Interstate64 in West Virginia was recently reopened after an eight-hour closure. Authorities took several hours to clean up the spilled fuel that was leaked after a massive car accident. The collision involved nine vehicles, including a tractor trailer and a dump truck. Several injuries were reported after the collision.

West Virginia authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident. In particularly complex accident cases, it can be difficult to determine the reason for a crash or what factors contributed to the incident. However, victims of any serious accident may seek legal assistance, even if the crash is still under investigation.

There are many factors that can contribute to a multiple-vehicle car crash. Distracted driving, drunk driving, speeding and a number of other behaviors can easily cause a crash, affecting many innocent drivers and passengers. It is also important to note that physical injuries are not the only affects of a car accident. Individuals may find that they suffer from anxiety, nervousness and other emotional trauma after being involved in an accident that was not their fault.

It can be difficult to determine liability in a car accident that involves several vehicles. In these circumstances, it can be beneficial to seek the assistance of a lawyer who understands personal injury law and the rights of injured victims. Those who are left with a financial, physical or emotional burden after an accident would be wise to explore available legal options for financial compensation. This can be done by seeking a complete case evaluation with a knowledgeable lawyer as soon as possible after an accident.
