Kanawha County crash involved 2 cars and a bus

A car accident in Kanawha, West Virginia, snarled traffic and closed down some lanes after a bus and a pair of cars all collided. When the Metro dispatch was asked about the wreck, since a KRT bus was involved, they not only confirmed the crash but said that it happened right before five o'clock -- meaning it caused a logjam in traffic right around rush hour.

The crash occurred in South Charleston, on MacCorkle Avenue. That's close to both the Riverwalk Mall and a Krispy Kreme doughnut shop.

Though everyone survived the accident, there were injuries. One person had to be taken to an area hospital by emergency crews. Both the South Charleston Fire Department and the South Charleston Police Department responded to the accident.

After the injured party was taken away -- it's not clear if that person was on the bus or in one of the cars -- crews focused on cleaning up the crash site. A large part of the reason that the rush hour traffic slowed down was that they had to block off an entire lane while doing it.

Something as simple as driving home from work can be a serious hazard. You do it every day during the week, but there's always the chance that another driver could cause a crash. You could end up taking a trip to the hospital, getting medical bills you never expected, and missing time at work. For all of this and more, you must know if you have a right to seek financial compensation, which can be possible when other drivers were reckless or negligent.
